An Israeli sniper shot dead a disabled Palestinian in his home in the Nur Shams camp east of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the West Bank on Wednesday.

According to media reports, family members found the body of the disabled man on Wednesday evening. Ayed Mahmoud Nimer Abu Al-Haija64, covered in blood in his house in Nur Shams refugee camp.
Sources added that the man killed was shot with live ammunition by an Israeli sniper while he was in his own home and was only discovered after he had already succumbed to his injuries.

It is important to note that the occupying forces besieged the camp and prevented ambulances from reaching the killed man. His body was subsequently taken to the hospital.

Media sources reported on Wednesday evening that the Israeli army continued to besiege the Nur Shams refugee camp and had received additional military reinforcements.

Nihad Al-Shawish, head of the Nur Shams camp services committee, told WAFA that Israeli military vehicles were present at all entrances to the camp and in several parts of the city.

Al-Shawish added that soldiers accompanied by police dogs entered and searched the homes of several citizens in many neighborhoods, detained their owners and subjected them to interrogation.

He also stated that the occupying forces besieged the homes of several citizens, occupied them and converted them into military barracks, and said that this incursion caused fear and terror among the women and children in the camp.

Al-Shawish told WAFA that the army had set up an investigation center outside the Nur Shams refugee camp where detainees were taken for interrogation.

A resident of the camp and chairman of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Association in Tulkarem, Ibrahim al-Nimr, told WAFA that Israeli forces had arrested dozens of citizens, most of them young men, and taken them to an interrogation post at a commercial establishment on the outskirts of the camp.
A similar report stated that the occupying forces shot the young man. Mohammad Ibrahim Tawfiq Abed32, in the town of Kafr Dan, northwest of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.

Soldiers also shot a child with live ammunition in the town of Al-Yamoun, northwest of Jenin. They also shot another child and a young man in the town of Jenin.

Before dawn on Wednesday, an Israeli drone strike injured two Palestinians in the Nur Shams refugee camp, while a large army force, accompanied by four military bulldozers, entered the town of Tulkarem.

According to media sources, Israeli soldiers besieged hospitals, hampered the work of ambulances and positioned snipers near the Nur Shams refugee camp, while reconnaissance drones flew in the sky.

Military bulldozers destroyed the city of Tulkarem’s vital infrastructure, including roads and a water network.
