Is this the craziest royal wedding ever? Norway’s Princess Martha Louise will marry bisexual American shaman Durek in a fjord, with a “sexy and cool” dress code, a “Latin American” party and a boat trip for all guests

Princess Märtha of Norway and her fiancé Durek Verrett are getting married in less than two weeks and it seems they are committed to providing their guests with an unforgettable experience.

The wedding on Saturday, August 31 is expected to be attended by other foreign royals and their close friends and family, who are expected to adhere to a “cool and sexy” dress code.

The 51-year-old royal first met Durek – a shaman – in 2019 after the two were introduced to each other by a mutual friend.

However, the couple claimed to have known each other from a previous life, more specifically from the time of ancient Egypt.

According to Hello magazine, which is reporting on the couple’s wedding, they will marry in Geirangerfjord in western Norway.

Princess Martha met Durek – a shaman – in 2019 after they were introduced to each other by a mutual friend (pictured last year).

The picturesque area is famous for its natural beauty and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Martha previously wrote in an Instagram post: “We are incredibly happy to be able to celebrate our love in the beautiful surroundings of Geiranger.”

“It means a lot to us to gather our loved ones in a place so rich in history and intense natural experiences. Geiranger is the perfect place to celebrate our love.”

The ceremony will take place at Hotel Union in the village of Geiranger, a four-star hotel with a spa, indoor and outdoor pools, its own nightclub and even a vintage car museum.

But it seems that Princess Martha and Shaman Durek plan to begin their wedding ceremony two days before their wedding, on Thursday, September 29th.

Their pre-wedding events will begin with a meet-and-greet party and the couple have told their guests that the dress code is “cool and sexy.”

Martha and Durek rented the garden of the Hotel 1904 in the picturesque coastal town of Alesund for their party.

The hotel is named after the great fire of Ålesund, which hit the city in 1904 and destroyed almost the entire city center.

Hotel 1904 seems to be popular with the royal family, as it has already been visited by King Haakon of Norway.

It follows an Art Nouveau theme and prides itself on being historic yet modern. The garden has its own espresso bar and restaurant and even has direct access to a shopping centre.

On Friday, family and friends can also enjoy a luxurious boat trip along the Geirangerfjord to the village of Geiranger, taking in the scenic views.

Princess Martha and Shaman Durek will then host a Latin American-style pre-wedding party at the Hotel Union, including salsa dancing.

The couple will then hold their ceremony. The couple will have a total of seven bridesmaids and seven witnesses at their disposal.

Martha’s three teenage daughters, Maud Angelica, 21, Leah Isadora, 19, and Emma Tallulah, 15, are expected to be three of the seven bridesmaids.

Her parents, King Harald and Queen Sonja, are also expected to attend, as are her brother, Crown Prince Haakon, and his wife, Crown Princess Mette-Marit.

Princess Martha seems to have a very close relationship with her family. She told the BBC: “I remember my mum and dad saying from a very young age: we have to stick together. We have to talk things through, even when it’s hard. We have to put all our cards on the table because we are a family and we have to get through all of this, despite all the turmoil.”

Shaman Durek announced in June that parish priest Margit Lovise Holte would perform the wedding ceremony.

Reverend Michael Beckwith, who appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s “Super Soul” podcast, will also attend the wedding.

In an Instagram post at the time, he said: “We are pleased to announce that parish priest Margit Lovise Holte will perform our wedding ceremony on August 31 in Geiranger according to the Norwegian Church’s wedding liturgy.”

“Reverend Michael Beckwith will also take part in the ceremony and give a welcoming speech. We are looking forward to this beautiful day with great joy.”

Following the event, there will be a wedding breakfast and reception to celebrate their lifelong commitment to each other.

Martha, who describes herself as “spiritual” and claims to be a psychic, entered into a relationship with Durek after overcoming the loss of her first husband, Ari Behn, who died by suicide in 2019.

But Martha did not have it easy, because she was forced her role as an active member of the royal family because of her fiancé’s controversial views.

Durek expressed his belief in a book that cancer in children is caused by unhappiness.

He published “Spirit Hacking” in the US in 2019, but publishers banned it in Norway because of the baseless claims.

After reading a translation of the book from the English original, the publisher stated at the time that it was shocked by numerous unproven statements made by Durek in the book.

Princess Martha caused further uproar last month when she reportedly used her title in a cease and desist letter to her estranged mother-in-law.

The document is said to have threatened legal action against the 81-year-old because he had made “slanderous statements” and “false allegations”.

In interviews with celebrity magazine Se og Hør, Veruschka Urquhart called her son “dangerous”. She claimed that he had “brainwashed” the princess and that her family was not as wealthy as Durek had tried to portray.

The publication claimed to publish the “shock letter word for word” in which Martha allegedly threatened her future mother-in-law with a million-dollar lawsuit if she did not retract her statement.

Previously, Marius Borg Høiby, the eldest son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit, spent more than 30 hours in custody following an incident at an apartment in Frogner, Oslo, in which a woman in her twenties called the police on August 4.

According to Se og Hør, the 27-year-old is said to have attacked the woman “psychologically and physically”.

Now the former car mechanic Høiby, who is considered the “black sheep” of the Norwegian royal family, has openly admitted his guilt for the first time and humbly apologized to Mrs. Arntsen and his relatives.

In his statement, which he sent to state broadcaster NRK through his lawyer earlier this week, he said he suffers from “several mental disorders” and has “struggled with substance abuse for a long time”, for which he will now resume treatment.

Photos allegedly taken after the argument at his lover’s home in Oslo showed a knife stuck in the wall and a broken chandelier. In July, Borg Høiby announced his relationship with Ms Arntsen.

It is not known whether Marius will attend the wedding of Princess Martha and Shaman Durek.
