Is there a post-credits scene in Beetlejuice?

Over thirty years have passed since the crazy Beetlejuice Michael Keaton and director Tim Burton have made a name for themselves, and now the duo is finally back. In the sequel Beetlejuice BeetlejuiceThe ghostly trickster returns to wreak havoc in another nostalgic, all-star horror-comedy adventure.

Winona Ryder (Stranger Things) plays Lydia Deetz again, who can communicate with the dead after her family’s traumatic experience with Beetlejuice in the 1988 film. She is again supported by Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek) as her stepmother Delia, as well as newcomer Jenna Ortega (Wednesday) as Lydia’s ghost-sceptical daughter Astrid. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice also Monica Belluci (Mafia Mom) as Beetlejuice’s evil ex-wife Justin Theroux (Plumber in the White House) as Lydia’s controlling boyfriend and Willem Dafoe (Types of kindness) as a paranormal detective. After one of our newbies accidentally says the name Beetlejuice three times, it starts.

The new film is out now. While we won’t reveal how the film ends, it’s safe to say that Beetlejuice 3 is probably not in the cards. There is also no post-credits scene that hints at the future of the franchise or gives the audience any clues about the direction of a potential third film. The final moments of the film suggest that Beetlejuice could of course return for another haunting at any time, but it sounds like another reunion is out of the question for Burton.

Let us do the math,” said the director Deadline at the premiere of the film at the Venice Film Festival. “It took me 35 years to make this film. If I made another one, I would be over 100. Thanks to medicine, it might be possible. But I don’t think so.” Say it’s not true, Mr. Burton! He’s probably just afraid to say Beetlejuice’s name three times in the title and accidentally summon him. May I suggest Threesome juice?
