Is it time to sell Xavier Worthy? | Fantasy Football Live

Yahoo Sports Fantasy Contributor Sal Vetri explains why he’s already fed up with the Chiefs wide receiver starting in Week 4.

Video transcript

Sal, give me something you say just enough about.

Yes, I saw it differently, with regards to a player I’ve had enough of in fantasy for three weeks now, and I’m going with the Kansas City Chiefs and Xavier Worthy.

This was a guy in preseason training camp.

The Kansas City Chiefs promised me a deep pass, but Holmes is back in MVP form.

He’ll throw 50 touchdowns and Xavier Worthy’s 42 speed is the answer.

Well, in three games we didn’t have the first play of the season, two touchdowns, one on a broken play that wasn’t used much, but the explosive plays were there.

Since then I’ve become a little hopeful.

It didn’t look good.

I’m worried about Xavier Worthy.

I don’t think he’s a good fit in this offense right now considering how the Chiefs’ defense is playing similar to last year, two high safeties forcing them to throw and run the ball under the ball.

You get a lot of Rusi Rice, you get 17 rush attempts from an undrafted rookie in Carson Steel last week and we don’t even have Travis Kelsey involved in this offense yet.

That will likely come at some point and the goal share will come under even more pressure for Xavier Worthy.

So at the moment I’ve had enough of it.

I even saw Juju Smith Shuster taking snaps of him last week.

At this point I’m trying to sell it where I can.

Yes, that’s why you never talk to anyone after the first week, which is something I should remember and I definitely did because I had Xavier Worthy in my league.

So.

Oh yes, me too.

My mistake.

That said, I hear that all the time.
