Larger screen size of the iPhone 16 Pro models
Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro has a 6.3-inch display, and the Apple 16 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display. This makes it larger than the displays on previous models (iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max), which measured 6.1 and 6.7 inches, respectively. The new models also have the “thinnest bezels of any Apple product” and “by far our best iPhone displays ever,” according to Apple.

After two years, Apple has given its entire new iPhone lineup a processor upgrade. The entire Apple iPhone 16 lineup introduces a new capacitive button on the side called “Camera Control.” This button is designed to make taking photos and videos easier. In addition, the Action button, which was limited to the iPhone 15 Pro models, is now available on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models. It replaces the traditional mute button. Apple claims to have reinforced the iPhone 16 with the toughest glass yet to protect the display from scratches. The iPhone 16 has a 6.1-inch screen, while the iPhone 16 Plus has a larger 6.7-inch display. The camera controls offer touch-sensitive functionality. A simple press takes a photo, while sliding your finger along the button adjusts the zoom level.

The Apple Watch Series 10 features what Apple says is the brightest display ever on the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch Series 10 is the first Apple Watch ever to feature a wide-angle OLED display, allowing users to better view the watch from an angle. Apple also calls it the “company’s thinnest Apple Watch ever.” Health features include the ability to detect signs of sleep apnea. The Apple Watch is available in titanium for the first time, following a long-standing trend in the watch industry to offer a tougher, lighter, and more premium alternative to traditional materials.
Apple has not launched a successor to two Apple Watches – the cheapest and the most expensive
Surprisingly, Apple has not announced the successor to its two smartwatch series – Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Apple Watch SE 2. While Apple’s rugged smartwatch aimed at athletes and those looking for a smartwatch for outdoor activities – the Apple Watch Ultra – launched in 2022 and received an update in 2023, Apple only announced a new color for the smartwatch and some other minor updates this year. The Apple Watch SE 2, the affordable variant of the Apple Watch, first launched in 2020 and has been released every year since then. Analysts expected Apple to also launch a version of the third-generation Apple Watch SE this year.
AirPods Max have not been fully updated even after four years
Apple launched its most premium headphones, AirPods Max, in 2020. It’s been four long years since the AirPods Max headphones were updated. This year, Apple announced a few updates like new color options and support for USB-C, but that’s all. The wait for those eagerly awaiting the next generation of AirPods Max continues.
There is no change in base memory for any iPhone model this year
There are no changes in the base storage of the new iPhones across all models – iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. This means that Apple has kept the same base storage for the iPhone 16 series as for the iPhone 15 series models. This means 128 GB for the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro. For the iPhone 16 Pro Max it is 256 GB.
For the first time, non-Pro AirPods get an ANC function
For the first time, Apple is offering ANC support on its non-Pro AirPod models. Apple said, “For the first time, AirPods 4 bring ANC to an open-ear design with an additional model. With improved microphones, the power of the H2 chip, and advanced computational audio, AirPods 4 with ANC help reduce ambient noise like airplane engines, city traffic, and more. AirPods 4 with ANC work across hardware and software to deliver the most natural listening experience possible. They also introduce intelligent features like Transparency Mode to help users be aware of their surroundings; Adaptive Audio, which dynamically mixes Transparency Mode and ANC based on the conditions of a user’s environment; and Conversation Awareness, which lowers the user’s media volume when they start talking to someone nearby.”
