Intuit Dome could allow VIP alcohol service until 4 a.m. if state bill passes

There is a bill currently going through the state legislature that would extend alcohol service to VIPs at the Intuit Dome until 4 a.m.

The state Senate passed AB 3206 this week, which allows VIP suite owners in the Intuit Dome, home of the Los Angeles ClippersAlcohol served until 4 a.m. The bill now goes to the Assembly.

Clippers owner Seve Ballmer is behind the bill because his company sponsored Murphy’s Bowl AB 3206.

Inglewood’s new 17,700-seat facility features five basketball courts, a practice facility and training center, an outdoor plaza with two bars, a restaurant, a team shop and VIP suites.

The National Assembly’s bill affects only the Intuit Dome, specifying that after-hours alcohol sales “may take place in a private area of the arena not exceeding 230 square meters during the hours immediately following a day on which the arena hosted a sporting event, concert or other large-scale event, or a private event without a public audience, as specified.”

The draft law sets January 1, 2030 as the end date for the planned extended alcohol sale period.

Currently, California liquor laws allow the sale and purchase of alcohol between 6 a.m. and 2 a.m. every day.
