“Engineers are working diligently to restore services as quickly and safely as possible,” Sparklight said on Facebook. “We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience. We will provide updates here as information becomes available.”
Hargray joined Sparklight in August.
There are also reports of internet outages in Beaufort public schools.

In the Lowcountry, Sparklight serves Beaufort, Bluffton, Hilton Head and Hardeeville.
When the announcement was made in August that Hargray would become Sparklight, the two companies said they would “focus on offering even more: cutting-edge technology, exceptional customer service and a commitment to connecting you to what matters most.”
Many stores reported the outage on Facebook and asked customers to contact them by mobile phone.
