The biggest winners included Infosys Ltd. (up 1.45 percent), LTIMindtree Ltd. (up 0.69 percent), HCL Technologies Ltd. (up 0.35 percent), Wipro Ltd. (up 0.3 percent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd. (up 0.19 percent).

Coforge Ltd. (down 1.13 percent), MphasiS Ltd. (down 1.05 percent), L&T Technology Services Ltd. (down 0.66 percent) and Persistent Systems Ltd. (down 0.56 percent) were the biggest losers in the index.

At the time of writing, the Nifty IT index was down 0.45 percent at 39218.65.

The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index rose 92.55 points to 24460.05, while the BSE Sensex rose 348.84 points to 80054.75. Of the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in positive territory while 19 were in negative territory. Shares of Ola Electric Mobilit, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank and HFCL were among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

Shares of Ola Electric Mobilit, Sakuma Exports, SMS Lifesciences Ind, Airan Ltd. and Lakshmi Finance hit new 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Akshar Spintex, Quintegra Sol, Nandani Creation, Mask Investments and Bohra Industries hit new 52-week lows in trade.
