Hulk Hogan’s honest reaction to the film with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon

WWE legend Hulk Hogan doesn’t seem happy about Ben Affleck and Matt Damon making a film about the “darkest time of his life.”

TMZ reports that Hogan is prepared to take legal action against Affleck and Damon if they “go too far,” as they put it. Affleck and Damon are reportedly producing a film about Hogan’s lawsuit with Gawker through their artist equity campaign.

The lawsuit was filed in 2013 and reached a verdict in 2016. Hogan sued the company for invasion of privacy after it posted an inappropriate video of him with a friend’s wife. TMZ notes that Hogan won a $140 million verdict, which ultimately led to Gawker’s demise.

Sources close to Hogan said he was “in no way involved” in Killing Gawker, adding that the former WWE champion was “indifferent.” However, they added: “If the film trespasses into territory that a jury believes is protected by his right to privacy, Hulk will not hesitate to take legal action.”

They added that Hogan is “at a really good point in his life.” He has reportedly married a new wife, “become spiritual and is pursuing an exciting new business opportunity with his beer.” In addition, he does charitable work in Tampa, Florida, at a homeless shelter.

The Killing Gawker is set to be directed by Gus Van Sant, who previously worked with Affleck and Damon on Good Will Hunting. Van Sant directed the film from a screenplay co-written by Affleck and Damon, who also starred in the film. Good Will Hunting received nine Academy Award nominations, winning Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor (Robin Williams).

What is the Hulk Hogan movie about?

PWInsider was the first to report on the Killing Gawker movie, which will star Hulk Hogan. They added that the film was “put together” by Artists Equity, with Affleck and Damon serving as producers.

They also reportedly had their eye on the lead roles of Hogan and Peter Thiel, with Affleck playing the former and Damon the latter.

A script is already in place, and Jeff Snedier of The InSneider has suggested Van Satn to direct the project, bringing the trio that was the driving force behind Good Will Hunting back together.

Killing Gawker was written by Charles Randolph, who also wrote The Big Short, and is based on the book Conspiracy: Peter Thiel, Hulk Hogan, Gawker, and the Anatomy of Intrigue.
