How to watch the premiere of DWTS 2024 live: start time and streaming

The Mirrorball trophy is back in play as Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars kicks off tonight.

Among the performers who will learn to dance the samba, jive and rumba to rise to the top of the leaderboard is fake heiress and convicted con artist Anna Delvey, who will compete this season with permission from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) as she is still under house arrest and wearing an ankle bracelet.

You can also expect to see a handful of athletes, actors and reality TV personalities competing this year.

The presenting duo Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribiero are back for the new season and there will be no changes behind the judges’ table either – Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli are all back as well.

New episodes air live on ABC and Disney+, and Disney+ is currently running a deal that saves you $18 on three months of streaming—enough to watch the entire season.

Dancing with the Stars Date and Time: When is the premiere of Dancing with the Stars?

Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars premieres tonight, September 17, at 8 p.m. ET.

New episodes air every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET, but ABC has adjusted its broadcast schedule to accommodate the vice presidential debate on Tuesday, October 1. “Dancing with the Stars” will not air that night, and instead a two-night event will air the following week on October 7 and 8.

Here’s how to watch and stream Dancing with the Stars:

The best way to stream Dancing with the Stars is with a Disney+ subscription, as the show airs simultaneously on ABC and Disney+. Disney+ is currently running a deal where you can get three months of their ad-supported plan for $1.99/month. The deal period is probably the perfect time to be able to stream the entire season of Dancing with the Stars for a total of around $6.

After the three-month promotional period ends, your subscription will revert to the regular base price of $9.99/month.

How to watch Dancing with the Stars for free:

Since Dancing with the Stars also airs on ABC, you can watch episodes live with a free trial of a live TV streaming service. We love DIRECTV Stream, which offers five days free before payment begins.

While you can’t stream the entire season for free, you can at least get the first episode for free.
