Red Bull teammates Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez have been locked in a tug-of-war for supremacy at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in recent years. Pérez won the race in 2021, Verstappen reclaimed it in 2022, and Pérez returned to the winner’s circle last season. The duo will square off again this week when Formula 1 returns to Baku. Verstappen will be looking to maintain his stranglehold on the top spot in the 2024 drivers’ standings. The three-time defending champion has a 62-point lead over Lando Norris with eight races to go. Pérez is in seventh place.
