How to watch Friday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race in Bristol

Dale Earnhardt Jr. returns to compete in Friday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The race is also the finale of the regular season.

Earnhardt is making his first start in the series since finishing fifth at Homestead last October. Earnhardt raced at Bristol last September and finished 30th after an ignition problem took him out of the race late in the race. Justin Allgaier won the race at Bristol last year.

The 23-year-old driver is moving up from the Truck Series.

Details of Friday’s Xfinity race at Bristol Motor Speedway

START: The order to start the engines will be given at 19:31. The green flag is to be waved at 19:40.

BEFORE THE RACE: The garage opens at 9am… Practice starts at 2pm… Qualifying starts at 2.40pm… Driver presentations start at 7pm… The invocation starts at 7.23pm… The national anthem starts at 7.24pm

DISTANCE: The race is over 300 laps (256.4 kilometers) on the 0.86 kilometer long, steeply rising concrete track.

LEVELS: Stage 1 ends on lap 85. Stage 2 ends on lap 170.

STARTING LINEUP: Xfinity starting grid.

Television/Radio: The CW Network will broadcast the race at 7:30 p.m. Coverage begins on CW at 7 p.m. … Performance Racing Network coverage begins at 7 p.m. … SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry the PRN broadcast.

FORECAST: The Weather Underground forecast predicts clear skies, highs of 23 degrees and a 3% chance of rain at the start of the Xfinity race.

LAST TIME: Justin Allgaier led 110 laps last September to win his second time in the series. Daniel Hemric finished second. John Hunter Nemechek took third place.
