How to fix iPhone iOS 17/17.6.1 keeps restarting

After updating to iOS 17.6.1, my iPhone started randomly rebooting. What was initially a minor annoyance quickly rendered my phone nearly unusable. There’s a good chance this is a software issue that we can fix. Let’s try some troubleshooting steps before we resort to costly repairs.

How to stop iOS 17.6.1 reboot loop

The easiest way is to perform a force restart. This is a great way to fix any minor bugs underlying this problem and, what’s more, it won’t harm your device.

  1. First press the button and then release it quickly. Increase volume Button.
  2. Then press the button and release it quickly. Decrease volume Button.

Once the battery level reaches 80 percent, Apple typically recommends a replacement. The cost can range from $70 to $100 depending on the iPhone mode, although AppleCare+ members don’t have to pay anything.

  1. Go to Settings and scroll down to battery.
