How much is the Mega Millions jackpot today? Mega Millions jackpot rises to $740 million after no winner on Tuesday

NEW YORK — The Mega Millions jackpot has grown to $740 million after not a single ticket matched all six numbers drawn on Tuesday night.

Here are the winning numbers from Tuesday: the white balls 12, 41, 43, 52 and 55 and the golden mega ball 9.

If won on Friday, it would be the seventh-largest jackpot in the game’s history.

The jackpot has been growing since someone won $552 million in Illinois on June 4.

In the 26 drawings so far in this jackpot run, there have been more than 19 million winning tickets in all prize categories except the jackpot. This includes 51 secondary prizes of $1 million or more, including tickets sold in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York.

According to Mega Millions, the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states, Washington, DC, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets cost $2 for a game.
