How Jacqueline MacInnes Wood from “The Bold and the Beautiful” balances work and family

I am very interested in fitness and personal well-being. Rich and beautiful Star Jacqueline MacInnes Wood is determined to move on. The mother of four not only makes time for herself, she is also very devoted to her family. She recently spoke about how the show has helped her organize her busy life outside of her role as Steffy.

The show is good for motherhood

Playing Steffy on B&B must be a lot of strength for Wood, because her alter ego seems to be constantly angry and loves to stir up conflict between the Forresters and the Logans. Her father Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) is constantly making decisions without her involvement, even though they are supposed to be co-CEOs at Forrester Creations. Then there’s the matter of Hope (Annika Noelle), who kissed her husband Finn (Tanner Novlan), and now she’s doubly angry at them both.

As an advocate of digital detox, Wood has been constantly improving and even developed sleep hacks to help her get a good night’s sleep. Recently Soap Opera Overview posted some of her answers to fan questions, and one asked if raising four children and acting at the same time was a daunting task.”Brave and beautiful is a wonderful show to be a part of,” she replied, adding, “Because it allows me to be a full-time mom!”

The working hours are very flexible

Wood explained that B&B’s bosses are very family-oriented and contribute to a pleasant work environment. “I can bring my kids to the set with me,” she continued, explaining that alternatively, she can “shoot a few episodes back to back, (which) gives me more time to spend with my kids.”

Most of the other soaps shoot their episodes well in advance of their air date, allowing them more flexibility to accommodate the needs of their actors, and B&B is no exception. She noted, “Our annual schedule is pretty cool too. We usually work two weeks and have one week off. It’s a great job and nice people.”

Apparently the time off is good, especially for actors whose characters are often mired in drama and emotion. This can be seen on screen as Wood enjoys delving into Steffy’s angrier side!
