Hot, humid weather returns with perceived temperatures around 100 degrees

Meteorologist Rich Hoffman of the Storm Watch Team says there will be dangerous heat and humidity today with temperatures feeling close to 100 degrees. A cold front will break through the heat tonight with some showers and storms. There’s a chance some storms will be rather strong. Much cooler weather as temperatures drop 15 degrees Thursday with highs in the 21s. Somewhat unsettled over Labor Day weekend, but dry spells so outdoor plans are in order.



TODAY: HEAT ALERT. There is a chance of a passing shower or thunderstorm until 5 p.m. It will be dry for most of the day. Hot and humid. Partly sunny, high around 30 degrees. Feels like temperatures will be between 32 and 38 degrees.


TONIGHT: A few showers and thunderstorms. A few thunderstorms may bring brief, heavy rain, gusty winds, and small hail. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65.

THURSDAY: Cloudy in the morning, sun and clouds in the afternoon. Windy. High around 76.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, maximum temperature around 24 °C.
