This 30-year-old woman’s mother and father divorced when she was 5. Her father cheated on her mother with a woman twice his age.

After the divorce, she had big problems, and it was especially hard for her when her father forced her to spend the evenings with him at his mistress’s house. When she told her father that she didn’t want to do that, he got angry with her.

Her father paid child support and was there for her when her car broke down or had to move to a new house.

However, he ignored her unless he was single. He was married three times, divorced twice, and one of his ex-girlfriends was a woman only seven years older than him, and he hated her with a passion.

Her father spoke badly about her mother and grandmother, saying that they were making him look bad, even though that was not the case.

During high school, she would drive an hour and a half to visit him, but he would leave her alone so he could go to a bar.

Then her father stopped giving her allowance because his new wife was upset about it. From then on, her father became incredibly religious and insisted that women should be followers.

Although he promised her that he would play a more permanent role in her life, that never happened. Now she is getting married in a month and is not as traditional as her father.

“I don’t like the message that the father ‘gives’ his daughter to her husband, so I asked a non-parental person – my brother – to accompany me to my wedding,” she explained.
