While Adam Sandler prepares to return to the stage for “Happy Gilmore 2,” the Kino Lorber label is releasing a new, razor-sharp UHD Blu-ray of the first film.

Blu-ray.com has announced the reissue of the 1996 film. Happy Gilmore The film stars Sandler, along with Christopher McDonald, Julie Bowen, Frances Bay and the late, great Carl Weathers. A firm release date has not been announced, but the 4K version is expected to hit stores at some point. Early next year. It will likely be released on Netflix at the same time as the sequel is released.
