WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — Shots were fired at a pastor’s home in Middle Tennessee late Tuesday night, the sheriff’s office confirmed.
Pastor Greg Locke of Global Vision Bible Church says a “madman unloaded a whole magazine full of bullets” into his home. The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office confirms officers responded to the call around 10:30 p.m. and found 30 to 40 shell casings. Authorities say multiple shots were fired at the home, garage and a vehicle.
No one was injured in the incident.
Locke posted on Facebook overnight that “God protected his family.” He said the audio from the surveillance video was “truly horrific.”
“It is 2:00 am and for the last 3 hours our house has been a full blown crime scene. According to the security camera footage, we pulled into our driveway exactly ONE MINUTE after a madman unloaded an entire magazine of bullets from an automatic weapon into our house, garage and truck. The audio on the video is truly gruesome. Investigators will be here for quite a while tonight. Only one of our children was home and thank God not in the same area of the house. As you can see in the last pictures, one of the bullets pierced the headboard of our youngest daughter’s bed and lodged in her pillow. We are all being escorted to a hotel by security tonight. We have no other details. The only detail that matters is that Psalm 91 is true and GOD HAS PROTECTED US IN UNIMAGINABLE AND SUPERNATURAL WAYS. Please pray for the Locke family tonight. We love you all.”
Locke has been criticized several times in recent years for controversial statements about the COVID-19 vaccine, Twitter bans and book burnings. In 2023, the Wilson County government sued the outspoken pastor’s church for building code violations.
