A New York man was killed in a horrific traffic accident over the weekend, just one day before his planned wedding.

The driver and passenger of the pickup truck fled the scene of the accident. While the driver is still at large, police arrested the passenger about 10 meters from the accident scene, authorities said.
The person was taken to a hospital, but it is unclear whether he was charged with a crime. post reported.
Walker and Weaver planned to marry at the Royal Manor wedding venue in Garfield, New Jersey, the bride told the outlet.
“Our ceremony was supposed to be at 5 p.m. today – in a few hours. He died 24 hours before our wedding”, Weaver said.
“It is devastating and not just for me. He has three children who loved him immensely. They are deeply saddened that their father has been taken from them.
“He was such a generous, hard-working man. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.”

Now Weaver is focused on getting justice for her late fiancé.
“The detectives looked me straight in the face and said they would do whatever they could to get justice,” she said.
“They told me the driver left his DNA on the airbags. So that’s what they did.”
“In addition, the passenger is in hospital with broken legs and he needs to speak out.
“Two people died in a reckless car accident. They must pay for killing two innocent people.”
“Nothing will bring him back. But we seek justice.”
