Google’s Discover feed is customizable so you can get news and updates based on your preferences. You can have four cards at the top of the feed that show you the current air quality and weather, stock prices, and score updates from your favorite sports teams. Coming soon, you’ll get another card that tells you about new and upcoming movies and TV shows. The information was found in the code of the latest beta update to the Google app (version 15.32.37.28) and enabled in advance by the folks at Android Authority.

When you enable the TV and Movies option, a new card is added to the top of the feed below the search bar. For movies, you’ll see the title and running time, as well as a small preview of the movie poster. The card also shows whether the movie is playing in theaters or where it’s available.

We don’t yet know what the card for TV shows will look like. It will probably look similar to the cinema card and offer important information at a glance.

So far, this update has not been officially rolled out and we don’t know when it will be. However, I find this feature useful, especially if you like a lot of movies and TV shows and don’t want to miss anything.
