Gonzaga released its nonconference women’s basketball league schedule for the 2024-25 season on Wednesday, with five of the 11 games being home games.

Three of the six road games will be at the Paradise Jam tournament in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, over Thanksgiving weekend. This is Gonzaga’s second time in the tournament, the first being in 2016-17.

Gonzaga opens the season at home against Montana on Nov. 5. That’s four days after the Zags have an exhibition game at home against NAIA College of Idaho.

The Zags’ first away game will be at traditional NCAA club Stanford, marking the beginning of a new era. Longtime coach Tara Vandeveer resigned after last season, when Gonzaga defeated the Cardinal 96-78 at the McCarthey Athletic Center. It was the Zags’ largest non-conference victory in school history.

The game in Palo Alto, Calif., will be followed by three consecutive home games — Nov. 14 against Cal, No. 17 against Wyoming and No. 21 against Rice.

Gonzaga then has five straight road games, starting with a game at New Mexico on Nov. 24, three in the Virgin Islands from Nov. 28-30 against Missouri State, Texas Tech and Florida State, and concluding with a game at Colorado State on Dec. 7.

The final non-conference game will be at home on December 14 against reigning Big Sky champion Eastern Washington.

The Zags begin their expanded West Coast Conference schedule – featuring Washington State and Oregon State – with road games on Dec. 19 and 21 in San Francisco and San Diego, respectively.

Eight of the non-conference opponents finished in the NET’s top 100 last year and four made the NCAA tournament.

Gonzaga played Cal, Rice, Wyoming and Stanford last season – all wins. This will be the fifth consecutive season the Zags will play Wyoming.

This season, Gonzaga is playing against Missouri State for the fourth time.

The last time Gonzaga played Florida State was in the 2016–17 Paradise Jam.
