Glen Powell is slowly becoming the most lucrative movie star among his contemporaries. The actor has proven his mettle as an actor time and again with back-to-back hits in various genres. Although he started out in small supporting roles in the late 2000s and 2010s, he was destined for big things and is arguably the most sought-after actor in the industry right now.

Glen Powell is now at the peak of his career. His films are incredibly successful at the box office and audiences love to see him on screen. The actor’s charisma and the way he presents himself on screen continue to win over audiences and his incredible success in his recent films is proof of that. Every filmmaker and studio is lining up to work with Powell and he is enjoying his dream job as an actor.

At the beginning of his career, Powell played alongside Denzel Washington in The great debaterswhich played a key role in changing his life. Training day Star became one of his acting idols, who recognized his potential and pushed him to take acting seriously. Another of Powell’s mentors was his Top Shooter: Maverick Co-star Tom Cruise, who inspired his approach to films and his professionalism on set (Cruise and Washington almost starred in a film together, see Paste Magazine).

In an interview with Sharp Magazine, the Twisters The star revealed that he tries his best to connect with the audience and entertain them. He doesn’t want to disappoint them and strives to give them quality entertainment every time they see him on the big screen. Powell said:

I try to build trust with the audience and show them that I’m going to work my ass off to entertain them. Then when they show up and pay $15 for a ticket, at least they can say, “I know this guy is trying to deliver quality. He’s going to do everything he can to deliver quality.”

Just like Washington and Cruise, who are dedicated to their craft and work hard to give audiences something unique each time, Powell is trying to follow in their footsteps. The actor doesn’t want to rest too much on his laurels and aims for bigger things that challenge him as a performer. Audiences are excited to see what he has to offer in his future films.

Glen Powell will star in the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s novel The running man. The novel was previously adapted in 1987 with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead role, but it was not well received. The new adaptation will be directed by Edgar Wright and Powell recently updated fans on what to expect from the film.

In an interview with Screenrant, the Everyone except you The star revealed that he does a lot of sprinting to prepare for the film. The actor expressed his love for Wright and his filmography and hinted that the new adaptation will have his own unique touch. Powell is excited to start working on this film, which he expects to be super fun. The Top Shooter: Maverick Stern said,

I did a lot of sprinting. No, I would say Edgar Wright has been one of my favorite filmmakers since I was a kid. He’s very passionate about The Running Man and we’re taking Stephen King’s book and just adding a lot of Edgar Wright flair and it’s great. It’s going to be a really fun movie; I’m really excited.

It was recently reported that the film’s production will begin in November this year (via The Wrap). The film is certainly an interesting project for the actor. Powell will also star in the black comedy. Huntington and JJ Abrams’ untitled film for Warner Bros.
