Georgia Tech women’s basketball announces its non-conference schedule for the 2024-25 season
Although the season is still several months away, the Georgia Tech women’s nonconference basketball team’s 2024-2025 schedule has been officially announced.
The Yellow Jackets will face at least four teams that have reached the postseason in 2023β24 and participate in the Hawai’i North Shore Showcase.
The 13-game non-league schedule will culminate in 10 home games, beginning with an exhibition match against Anderson University on October 31, which will give fans their first opportunity to see the 2024-25 team in action.
Georgia Tech will officially open the season on Nov. 4 with an “Education Day” that kicks off a four-game home series. The Yellow Jackets will then welcome three in-state opponents to round out the home series, as Georgia State (Nov. 8), West Georgia (Nov. 14) and rival Georgia (Nov. 17) will all be at McCamish Pavilion.
The Yellow Jackets will spend part of the Thanksgiving holiday in the Aloha State and will compete in the Hawai’i North Shore Showcase from Nov. 23-25. Additional tournament details, including the participant list, will be announced at a later date.
After returning home, Georgia Tech will host Florida A&M on Dec. 1 before hosting Mississippi State for the second edition of the SEC/ACC Challenge on Dec. 4. The Yellow Jackets will play their only true road game of the nonconference schedule on Dec. 8 at Mercer.
Georgia Tech prepares to play in the Atlantic Coast Conference, where it will face three teams that reached the postseason last season to complete non-conference play. Louisiana Monroe (ULM) reached the WNIT Great 8 and finished last season with an overall record of 21-14. The War Hawks visit Atlanta on December 11.
The Rice Owls will travel to McCamish Pavilion for the first time on Dec. 18 after winning the 2024 American Athletic Conference title and securing their fourth NCAA Tournament berth. Georgia Tech will play its final non-conference game on Dec. 21, welcoming 2024 NCAA Tournament participant Nebraska.
