**The Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter is alive as hundreds of thousands of guests flock to Perry through October 13 to celebrate the 35th annual Georgia National Fair.

The 11-day event offers non-stop fun with thrilling rides, delicious food, world-class concerts, impressive exhibitions and endless shopping!

Georgia Farm Bureau is a partner sponsor with special events planned for GFB Day tomorrow, October 5, beginning at 10:30 a.m. when GFB President Tom McCall will speak.

**New federal regulations to prevent organic fraud are being praised by organic farmers for helping protect the integrity of the national organic seal.

However, the rules have also brought unintended consequences as smaller businesses struggle to keep up with the new requirements.

Difficulties also include government agencies that inspect and certify farms to ensure they meet National Organic Program standards.

**Bills introduced in the House and Senate would extend a new sustainable aviation biofuel tax credit for 10 years and bar foreign manufacturers from accessing the credits.

Groups like the National Corn Growers Association welcomed legislation that supports domestic producers.

NCGA President Harold Wolle says corn farmers are making every effort to help the aviation industry reduce its greenhouse gas emissions through the use of corn ethanol.
