James C. Francis Jr., 45, of N. Tonawanda, NY, is charged with threatening a police or peace officer, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon/prior conviction, first-degree menacing, and fourth-degree malicious damage to property following an incident on Buffalo Street in Bergen on August 12, 2024 at 2:32 a.m.

Francis is said to have threatened people with a knife. The officers managed to take the knife away from him and he was taken into custody.

Francis was detained pending arraignment in CAP Court on August 12, 2024 at 9:00 p.m.

Chad J. Evans, 34, of Rochester, NY, is charged with DUI/two prior convictions within 10 years, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08% or more/two prior convictions within 10 years, first and second degree driving without a license/alcohol or drugs, second degree driving without a license, and second degree driving without a license/3 or more open suspensions for 3 or more days, following a traffic stop for traffic violations on East Main Street in Batavia on August 17, 2024 at 2:05 a.m.

Evans was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and had already been convicted of drunk driving twice in the last ten years.

He was arrested and taken to jail for processing and held pending arraignment in CAP Court at 9:00 a.m.

Brandi N. Arbia, 39, of Batavia, NY, is charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and first-degree presenting a forged instrument, both class E felonies, following an investigation on August 15, 2024.

Arbia is alleged to have stolen $2,372 in SNAP benefits.

Arbia was issued a summons and will appear in Batavia City Court on September 10, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.

Raequan A. Reed Sr., 28, and Ahmire D. Morgan, 19, both of Buffalo, NY, are both charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a Class E felony, after allegedly stealing merchandise from a retail store on Veteran’s Memorial Drive, passing all of the cash registers.

Reed and Morgan received subpoenas and will appear in Batavia City Court on August 28, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.

Noah S. Smith, 19, of North Tonawanda, NY, is charged with third-degree criminal damage to property after intentionally damaging a cell phone at the Chris Stapleton concert in Darien Lake at 10:45 p.m. on July 12, 2024.

Smith was issued a summons and will appear in Darien Town Court on August 27, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.

Malik I. Ayala, 32, of Batavia, NY, is charged with petty theft after allegedly stealing merchandise from 4133 Veteran’s Memorial Drive, Walmart, on August 13, 2024 at 4:10 p.m.

Ayala was arraigned before the CAP Court on August 13, 2024 at 9:00 p.m.
