CLEMSON – The No. 19 Clemson football team has completed its Week 3 off date and will begin ACC play.
The Tigers’ offense finally got going in Week 2, scoring 66 points and setting school records for points scored and yards gained in a half against Appalachian State. Their performance was drastically different from their game against Georgia, when they scored just three points in the season opener.
Clemson (1-1) faces conference foe NC State (2-1), a team that has won two of its last three games against the Tigers. The Wolfpack defeated Louisiana Tech in Week 3 and launched an 11-point comeback to win its second game of the season. NC State freshman quarterback CJ Bailey will make his first career start against Clemson on Saturday (12 p.m. ET, ABC) at Memorial Stadium after starter Grayson McCall suffered an injury last weekend.
This will be the 92nd edition of the Textile Bowl, with Clemson leading the overall standings at 60-30-1.
