From military service in Germany to making waves on YouTube: How much is Duke Dennis’s net worth?

2024 is only halfway over, but we’ve already seen plenty of Black creators go viral thanks to their savvy social media skills. Over the winter, TikToker Reesa Teesa held the world in suspense when she shared the story of her tumultuous marriage, which eventually landed her a deal with CAA for future content creation opportunities. Elsewhere, Kai Cenat and other members of the AMP collective danced onstage with Nicki Minaj and dropped hints about Jordan sponsorships online. The 22-year-old is the most followed in the YouTube group, but close behind him is his good friend Duke Dennis – best known for his gaming videos and entertaining storytimes across numerous channels.

Born on February 26, 1994, in Greenville, South Carolina, Dennis is several years older than his frequent collaborator. One of the former athlete’s brothers, Darius, often appears in Duke’s videos, which are watched by millions of people on his various accounts. Despite being a talented football player, the 30-year-old and his friend turned down scholarship offers to play football in college, preferring to join the military to get out of their poor neighborhood.

Dennis expressed his desire to leave the military while still in basic training, but his mother encouraged her son to persevere. After completing his four-year training, the black entertainer happily returned home to focus his energy on other areas, which has proven successful in many ways. Read on to find out everything we know about Duke Dennis’s net worth, YouTube success, and military career.

What is Duke Dennis’s net worth?

According to Sportskeeda and Vocal, Duke Dennis’s net worth is between $2 million and $3 million. The former notes that the famous gamer makes between $4.4 million and $71,100 annually from advertising revenue and brand deals on YouTube and other sites alone. On Design By Humans, Dennis sells merchandise to his fans, charging $25 for tank tops and T-shirts that read “Real Talk” or $48 for similar hoodies.

It’s unclear how much revenue that brings in, but it was enough for the content creator to treat himself to a Lamb truck for his 30th birthday earlier this year. In 2017, he treated himself to his first dream car – a Jeep Wrangler – which Dennis says he slept in for three days out of sheer excitement. A few years later, the internet icon bought another Wrangler with a Scatpack engine while gifting the previous one to her brother, and has since added an SRT Jeep to his collection as well.

After serving his country, the Amp founder is in full-time creator mode

If he doesn’t impress us with his NBA2K or Call of Duty Dennis builds a connection with his audience by telling stories from his life, including his time in the military. He has admitted that he didn’t find it easy to follow orders, not to mention the rules regarding uniforms and haircuts. After basic training, he was stationed in Germany, where the Southern star spent his days doing administrative paperwork; during that time, he considered doing something illegal to get an early discharge, but instead chose the exemplary route and eventually fulfilled his contract around 2017.

Dennis created a YouTube channel in 2013, but didn’t start posting content regularly until he returned from the Army. “Angry Trash Talker” was one of his first uploads that went viral online, motivating the 30-year-old to continue posting gaming content. In 2020, he diversified his social portfolio with a new channel, DeeBlock Duke, and also connected with other up-and-coming Black creatives like Cenat, JustFanum, and Agent00; the next year, he added his page DukeDennis Live.

Although he appears to be on his own these days, the creative used to date “Toxic Chocolate” singer Kaliii. He’s also made a name for himself by parodying NBA player Carmelo Anthony on camera. Instead of constantly sharing content, Dennis seems to use the surprise factor to his advantage. By posting videos randomly, subscribers stay on their toes and are always looking for more.
