Belgium will compete in the women’s basketball semifinals for the first time on Friday 9 August, where they will face France for a place in the final. France defeated Germany in the quarterfinals to secure their place in the semifinals.

The semifinal between the USA and Australia will also be played on Friday. The winners and losers of each match will compete in the final for the gold and bronze medals respectively on Sunday, August 11.

12 women’s basketball teams competed at the 2024 Olympics. As the host country, France was automatically qualified. The other qualified countries are listed below:
