Those who followed the Paris Olympics mentioned above may remember seeing Paví in action as Colombia impressed on the big stage.
The striker scored in the opening match of the Games against hosts France in a narrow 3-2 loss and then played in matches against New Zealand, Canada and Spain. Colombia eventually lost to Spain on penalties in the quarter-finals, but the South American nation impressed with her performance.
Paví has won 13 caps for her country since making her debut at the age of 18, and also participated in the 2024 CONCACAF Gold Cup, where she scored two goals.
3. She is looking forward to the challenge of the Women’s Super League
Paví began her career at Orsomarso Sportivo Clube, where she scored on her professional debut at the age of 17. She then moved to Deportivo Cali in 2020 before leaving Colombia and moving to Brazil to sign for Atlético Mineiro in 2023.
After a year in Brazil, the striker returned to Cali to finish the 2024 season and is now looking forward to taking the next step in her journey and playing in England’s top division.
“It will be a challenge for me, but I think I will fit in very well,” explained the 23-year-old.
“I am someone who will fight for anything. I want to work hard and give my best in everything I do. I know that’s what West Ham is known for and that’s why I believe this is the right club for me.”
