Republic Services and the City of Fountain Hills are once again partnering to provide grant funding to an eligible local nonprofit organization.

The total grant from Republic Services is $10,000 and will be distributed to one or two organizations.

“Republic Services and the City of Fountain Hills launched their business and community partnership in 2010. Thanks to their generosity, starting with the first donation ten years ago, we have been able to work together to help local nonprofits achieve their goals,” said Mayor Ginny Dickey.

Qualified nonprofit organizations located in Fountain Hills are eligible to apply for a grant and must meet the following criteria:

• The applicant must operate as a registered nonprofit organization or a nonprofit organization with an active 501(c) designation.
• The project/program and its benefits must be realized within the boundaries of the City of Fountain Hills.
• The project/program must demonstrate community benefit in one or more of the following six areas and may be for a new or expanded project/program:
  • Responsibility for the environment
  • Promotes a healthy lifestyle
  • Enhances the natural beauty of the city
  • Provides education
  • Provides necessary human services
  • Provides public enjoyment (may include entertainment including concerts, public performances, community events).

The application must contain all of the above elements and be submitted via an online form before the application deadline of 12 September 2024.

“Republic Services is a vital service provider and dedicated partner to the City of Fountain Hills. We are pleased to announce that our annual grant opportunity for local nonprofits will continue this year, and we are excited to see how the funding will positively impact our local community,” said City Manager Melissa Krueger.

• Organization submits funding application – Thursday, September 12, 2024
• The applications will be evaluated by the Grants Committee – Thursday, 26 September 2024
• Organisations will be informed of the Grants Committee’s decisions – Thursday, 10 October 2024
• Funding will be awarded to the award winners – Thursday, October 31, 2024
