Fort Campbell soldier reported missing in Henry County

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man reported missing in Henry County has been identified as a soldier stationed at Fort Campbell. The U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) confirmed to News 2 that the missing man, John Michael Jackson, is Pfc. John Jackson.

Public Affairs Director Lt. Col. Marty Meiners told News 2 that Fort Campbell is “working closely with civil authorities to ensure he is located as quickly as possible.”

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said Jackson was last seen in the Paris Landing area on Wednesday, September 25th. His vehicle was parked there on the bridge, but he was nowhere to be found.

HCSO is working with the Henry County Rescue Squad and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency to continue the search on the water.

Anyone with information about Jackson’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office 731-642-1672.
