Former Warrior Chris Paul has teamed up with the San Antonio Spurs

Well, the new media day is just around the corner across the National Basketball Association. There are plenty of people looking through transcripts of insightful interviews with their favorite players, checking out new teammates in home team jerseys, and feeling the fresh scent of optimism in the early fall air.

And it’s also a good time to catch up on the guys who have left the home team for (supposedly) better pastures. I previously wrote about how surreal it was to see all-time Golden State Warriors legend Klay Thompson in the Dallas Mavericks colors and talk about how great it is to play with Luka Doncic.

But have you seen former Warrior Chris Paul team up with the San Antonio Spurs?

It definitely doesn’t hurt as much to see CP3 in another team’s colors. Heck, he’s already played in Houston for a few years, so Golden State is used to seeing him in Texas. But his time with the Dubs during his only season with the team was so fleeting that it seems like a blur.

I wonder how many other fans of other franchises feel the same way about the CP3 experience. He’s a sure-fire Hall of Famer and floor-raiser who makes his teammates around him better and is still in the hunt for the elusive NBA championship.

Here are some Media Day interviews with CP3 from his time as a Golden State antagonist:

Captain of the Clippers

Together with James Harden in Houston

Banished to Oklahoma City

Brings championship hopes to Phoenix

He shocks the world by joining his nemesis, Warriors

Culmination of a fantastic career mentoring Victor Wembanyama in San Antonio
