Firefighters battle a wildfire near Craig in northwest Colorado. The Big Gulch Fire has burned more than 1,160 acres of land in Moffat County and the cause is still unknown.
Bureau of Land Management fire crews have joined forces with wildfire crews from the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office, Moffat County Road and Bridge, Craig Fire and Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control, as well as firefighting aircraft.
The wildfire started Wednesday afternoon in the area of Moffat County Roads 90 and 174.
No buildings are at risk from the fire.
Craig is located more than 200 miles northwest of Denver.
