Food Truck Battle at Yellowstone: Foodies unite on August 24th

Billings’ Food Truck Battle at Yellowstone, August 24, 2024.

Montana’s food truck scene has exploded in recent years, with lively events taking place in cities large and small. But there’s one event that stands out: It brings together the region’s best flavors for a truly important cause.

On Saturday, August 24th, from noon to 7 p.m., the 6th Annual Food Truck Battle on the Yellowstone returns to Billings, promising a day of delicious bites, live music and heartfelt community support for Montana’s veterans.

Hosted by the Breakfast Exchange Club of Billings, this event isn’t just about enjoying delicious food from over 50 food trucks from Montana and Wyoming—it’s also about giving back.

We raise a lot of money for local veterans.

Since its humble beginnings in 2018, the Food Truck Battle has raised more than $230,000 for Montana nonprofits dedicated to supporting veterans. This year, 10% of all food truck sales, as well as admission and beer sales, will go directly to these important causes.

The Food Truck Battle is more than just a paradise for gourmets.

It’s a family-friendly festival with something for everyone. Children can jump around to their heart’s content in the bouncy castle-filled kids’ zone, while adults enjoy live performances from bands like Exit 53 and El Wencho. Veterans will find a special area dedicated to resources, with over 20 organizations ready to offer support and services.

Admission is just $5 per person and free for children under 12 and veterans – a small price to pay for a day of food, fun and community spirit. Free shuttles along Gabel Road make getting there a breeze.

So mark the date in your calendar and bring your appetite. The Food Truck Battle at Yellowstone is not only a must-attend event for foodies – it’s also a chance to show our veterans that the Montana community is as strong and supportive as ever.
