Flood watch canceled for some central Alabama counties: The Alabama Weather Blog

Jefferson, Shelby, Chilton, Autauga and Lowndes counties in central Alabama have been removed from the Flood Watch. Predicted rainfall levels have decreased and the risk of flash flooding is now low. Any flooding is expected to be minor and limited to areas with poor drainage. For this reason, the Flash Flood Watch has been canceled.

The watch remains until 7 a.m. Friday for Barbour, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Elmore, Etowah, Lee, Macon, Montgomery, Pike, Randolph, Russell, St. Clair, Talladega counties and Tallapoosa in effect central Alabama.
