A woman who attended a wedding for the first time has divided opinions after posting a picture of the outfit she planned to wear for the occasion online.

On Reddit, the user under the name @FoxFallsFromYou posted a selection of different dresses and looked for advice on which one to choose.

On the social media platform she wrote: “First wedding guest.

“I have never been to a wedding, except as a child and at my own wedding.”

“It’s black tie, all the men will wear tuxedos. The bride has given my husband permission to wear his tuxedo from our wedding.

“I’m confused as to whether the dress is appropriate for a wedding. Personally, I wouldn’t mind if a guest wore it to me, but mine was semi-formal.”
