First trailer for the TV series “Inside Out”: “Dream Productions” for Disney+

Disney and Pixar showed the first trailer for the upcoming television series “Inside Out,” titled “Dream Productions,” at D23.

“Thank you for making Inside Out 2 the best animated film of all time,” said Pixar’s Pete Docter on stage at D23 in Anaheim. “If you love the film as much as we do, I have great news for you.”

Docter said the new series, which will be released in 2025, will be set between the first and second parts of the film – making it an in-betweenquel.

The show is set in a studio where Riley’s dreams come true every night – on time and on budget. Some memories need further editing, so they are sent to Dream Productions, and when Riley falls asleep, we see the film crew making the dreams come true like a movie set.

“This is our first original series and we wanted to do something unique and bold, different from anything we’ve done before,” Docter said.

Docter, the chief creative officer at Pixar Animation Studios, first gave a sneak peek of the series in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. In June, he told the newspaper that the show was finished: “We’re finished. It’s coming out next spring. I’m not sure if there’s a specific release date yet,” he said.

“Remember in the first movie we go to Dream Productions to see how Riley’s dreams are created? That kind of explains why they’re so weird. We’ve continued to explore the power of dreams and how they affect our waking lives. So it’s pretty cool.”

Inside Out 2, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Inside Out, surpassed Frozen 2 as the highest-grossing animated film of all time, grossing a whopping $1.5 billion at the worldwide box office.

The film, which cost $200 million to produce and rescued Pixar from its box office slump, recently overtook another Disney star, Marvel’s “The Avengers,” to enter the top 10 highest-grossing films of all time worldwide.

Almost a decade after the original, “Inside Out 2” once again delves into the mind of the now teenage Riley, whose familiar emotions are joy (Amy Poehler), sadness (Phyllis Smith), disgust (Liz Lapira), fear (Tony Hale) and anger (Lewis Black). was is in charge. When Riley leaves for summer camp, a whole new set of emotions, such as fear (Maya Hawke), jealousy (Ayo Edebiri), embarrassment (Paul Walter Hauser) and nostalgia (June Squibb), emerge, creating chaotic energy.
