“You’re Cordially Invited,” the new movie starring Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon, has released its first teaser trailer.
The Prime Video comedy is about a crazy series of circumstances: A father (Ferrell) discovers that his daughter’s wedding is in jeopardy because the venue has been double booked.
The other party, led by a wedding planner (Witherspoon), refuses to give in, leading to a dispute between the two families over who should have priority in choosing the venue.

The trailer begins with the main couple realizing the gravity of the situation. The rest of the one-minute teaser shows the lengths both parties will go to make the most of their big day.
In addition to Ferrell and Witherspoon, the cast includes Geraldine Viswanathan, Meredith Hagner, Celia Weston, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Leanne Morgan, Jimmy Tatro and Jack McBrayer, with Nicholas Stoller serving as both screenwriter and director.
Ferrell and Witherspoon both serve as producers on the project, which is set to release on Prime Video on January 30, 2025, so be sure to mark the date on your calendar!
While it may be a while before “You’re Cordially Invited” hits theaters, Witherspoon recently announced a project with another streaming service: The star will produce a Formula 1 documentary for Netflix.

The show, titled F1 Academy, will reportedly delve into the world of the women-only racing series F1 Academy, which runs alongside the Formula 1 Grand Prix. It is currently in production and is set to hit theaters in 2025.
“We created Hello Sunshine to change the face of women and (F1 Academy CEO) Susie Wolff and the F1 Academy are doing just that by creating new opportunities in the exciting world of motorsport,” Witherspoon said in a statement.
“As these dynamic and fearless female drivers break barriers behind the wheel, we’re excited to partner with Netflix to tell the stories of these powerful leaders. We know that when we put women front and center, people will come to watch.”
You are cordially invited is scheduled to be released on Prime Video on January 30, 2025.
