Apple’s first German-language series “Where is Wanda?” is a black comedy series that tells the story of Dedo & Carlotta Klatt, who are desperately trying to find their missing 17-year-old daughter Wanda, who disappeared without a trace months ago. When the police can’t find her, the family takes matters into their own hands and, with the help of their tech-savvy son Ole, gets hold of surveillance devices. Disguised as employees of an electrical company, they bug their neighborhood and then half of their suburb and find out that behind closed doors, none of their neighbors are who they say they are. Where is Wanda? is a German series by screenwriters Oliver Lansley (Rotters, “Flack”, “Maxxx”) and Zoltan Spirandelli. The screenplay was written entirely by Oliver Lansley, based on a story by Spirandelli. The filmmakers were directed by Tobi Baumann, Christian Ditter and Christoph Klünker. Produced by UFA Fiction. Executive producers are Oliver Lansley, Nataly Kudiabor, Sebastian Werninger and Christian Ditter. Apple will distribute the Where is Wanda? Series streaming on Apple TV+ from October 2, 2024 this fall. Who is curious and wants to watch?
