First trailer for Ayo Edebiri’s new film Omni Loop, rated 100%

Ayo Edebiri’s upcoming science fiction film Omni-Loop has released its first trailer ahead of its US release in September.

The film by Bernardo Britto, who wrote the screenplay, directed it and co-edited it, is a time loop adventure with a lot of emotion.

Mary-Louise Parker plays protagonist Zoya Lowe, a woman who is told she doesn’t have long to live after doctors find a black hole in her chest. It turns out that Zoya can jump through timelines if she takes a pill, and decides to enlist the help of lab scientist Paula Campos.

After an understandable moment of disbelief, Paula happily complies and confidently announces that she and Zoya can solve the problem of time travel.

The trailer features a montage of the duo doing calculations and experiments before Zoya sighs and says, “We’ve tried everything and I still can’t do it.”

Whether Zoya will accomplish this nearly impossible feat remains to be seen, but it seems she will learn a thing or two about herself as she relives important moments in her life.

The cast for Omni-Loop is rounded off by Edebiris The bear Co-Star Chris Witaske, BarbieCarlos Jacott and Ozarks Actors Harris Yulin as well as Hannah Pearl Utt and Steven Maier.

Edebiri has another exciting project in the works as she recently joined the cast of Luca Guadagnino’s new star-studded moral thriller After the hunt.

The film also stars Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield, Michael Stuhlbarg and Chloë Sevigny, with Roberts playing a college professor whose life and career reach a turning point when a brilliant student makes an accusation against one of her colleagues.

Omni-Loop will be released in US theaters on September 20. A UK release date has yet to be announced.
