Fire crews determine repair needs for fire extinguishing systems – Sheridan Media

Daily update on the fires in northeast Wyoming and southern Montana as of August 28:

The Flat Rock Fire is nearly 52,500 acres and 54% contained; the Remington Fire is about 196,500 acres and 50% contained; the Constitution Fire is nearly 25,000 acres and 57% contained; and the House Draw Fire is about 175,000 acres and 94% contained.

10 teams and 670 people, 5 helicopters, 44 fire engines, 9 bulldozers and 4 fire engines are deployed to fight the fire.

On Wednesday, emergency services were busy identifying and extinguishing all fires.

In several fires, fire activity was minimal on Tuesday.

No evacuations are planned in the fire area.

A cold front with northwest winds was expected to move into the fire area late Wednesday morning.
