FORECAST DETAILS:
Good morning and have a nice weekend!
This hot streak continues across southcentral Texas, with highs near or in the triple digits. That includes today, where afternoon temperatures are expected to be between 35 and 38 degrees, with partly cloudy skies through the first half of the weekend.
When you factor in humidity, heat levels are likely to rise to 40-41°C in many locations. Find ways to cool off outside!
As on Friday, isolated showers and thunderstorms cannot be ruled out on Saturday evening, especially after 5 p.m.
Rainfall is expected to be light, but any storm may bring brief periods of heavy rain, along with thunder and lightning. We’ll keep you updated!
While the chance of rain today is quite low, the chance of further rain from today onwards has all but disappeared due to the high heat.
For those heading back to school, it’s going to be a dry and hot week! Afternoon temperatures will continue to be in the 100s and there’s plenty of sunshine in the forecast.
More updates will follow this weekend. Until then – have a great day and stay cool! ~ Mia
