Fede Alvarez makes accusations against possible new “Alien Vs. Predator” film

The Foreigner And Predator Film franchises are two of the biggest sci-fi and horror brands in pop culture history. The two brands have even made an impact in different media, although the results have certainly been different. Now Alien: Romulus Director Fede Alvarez has his own pitch for a new Alien vs Predator Film.

The possibilities for Alien vs Predator were first teased with an Easter Egg in Predator2. The subtle inclusion of a Xenomorph skull led to comics, novels and video games. However, it took until 2004 for a feature film to finally hit the big screen that Alien vs Predator Nickname.

The film was an obvious financial success, but was followed by a less successful sequel entitled Aliens vs Predator: Requiem in 2007. Each film received negative reviews, with requiem suffer at the box office. The franchises have since worked independently – although fans still see potential in a Alien vs Predator Film in the style of the original comics or games.

Therefore, fans might be curious to hear what Fede Alvarez has to say about Alien vs Predator after the publication of Alien: RomulusHere’s what he shared via Deadline when asked about this possibility:

“Maybe it’s something I have to direct with my buddy Dan,” Alvarez began. Dan is of course a reference to prey Director Dan Trachtenberg. prey was a great success in reviving the Predator brand and he is already working on another standalone Predator snap.

“Maybe we should do like Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez with From dusk to dawn”, Alvarez continues. I’ll direct half of it and he’ll direct the other half.”

The possibility also depends on the success of these new independent Foreigner And Predator Projects and whether fans still want to see AVP on the big screen. As for this particular crossover product, last we heard, 20th Century Fox produced an anime series before being acquired by Disney. The series is now locked away in their archives.

But with the Foreigner And Predator Fandoms currently experiencing such a revival may see a new crossover film – or a release of the anime series – possible. In the meantime, new standalone films are in the works and even a television series based on the Foreigner World on the way.

Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for further updates regarding the Foreigner And Predator Franchises and whether a new Alien vs Predator Film could ever go into development. At the moment it seems as if the success of both prey And Alien: Romulus have course-corrected the independent narratives for the respective series.
