Fans express concern for Dave Bautista after he appears unrecognizable in new photos
Some expressed concern about Dave Bautista after seeing new red carpet photos of the former professional wrestler.
Bautista, 55, had a hectic 2024, which began with his role in the blockbuster hit Dune – Part Two. Most recently he appeared in two September publications: The murderer’s gamean action film about a contract killer, and The Last Showgirla drama with Pamela Anderson And Jamie Lee Curtis.
It was at The Last Showgirl premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday, September 6, when the photos in question were taken. Bautista posed on the red carpet in a black suit with a black shirt underneath that had a neckline so low that some of the tattoos on his chest were visible. He also wore shiny black shoes, black sunglasses, and a few pearl necklaces that he wore around his neck.

When Bautista shared photos of his red carpet appearance on social media, one of his followers declared that he still looks “as good as ever,” while another praised, “Looking good, my brother.”
“He looks amazing!” agreed another fan.
But some thought that Guardians of the Galaxy The actor looked like he had lost weight, and some wondered if he was “slimming down for a role.” Others suggested his appearance was due to dieting decisions or, more generally, his time in Hollywood.
“Why do you look so small?” one person asked in response to a post on X (formerly Twitter) that showed photos contrasting Bautista’s muscular looks as a pro wrestler with his newer red carpet physique. “Question: What happened to Dave Bautista?” the X user wrote in the caption of the side-by-side photos.
“He’s gotten older but still in great shape, just a little thinner,” someone wrote in Bautista’s defense, adding, “I saw him in person, the man is still a beast.”
