The Suffolk Fire Chief told News 3 that two people were injured but did not want to go to the hospital.

It took over an hour for emergency services to clear the accident site at the Pruden Boulevard exit and for traffic to resume.

News 3 also traveled to Virginia Beach, where a tree fell through a homeowner’s back fence and patio.

“It’s huge. It was just after midnight. I called the building insurance company,” said Jostine, a Virginia Beach resident.

She’s lived near Baker Road in Virginia Beach for 30 years, but only built her deck a month ago. Then, she says, this tree fell this morning.

“I was sleeping and my dog heard it. My dog didn’t want to be in the area anymore. I was like, ‘What is that? I’m going to go see what’s going on.’ Then I went out on my patio and saw it was a big tree,” Jostine said.
