Fall program for #UDWTEN announced

DAYTON- Women’s tennis coach at the University of Dayton Erica Echko has announced its fall 2024 schedule, including a four-team Dayton Invitational in the friendly setting of the Graul Tennis Complex.

“We can’t wait to get into the fall season and get some game experience,” Echko said. “With three new players, it’s important to get them on the field and see where they fit in our lineup and try out one-two combinations.”

Fall begins for the Flyers in Music City Nashville with participation in the Lipscomb/Belmont Invitational from September 13-15.

“We’ve added a new tournament in Nashville hosted by Lipscomb and Belmont that features 8 teams in a hidden doubles format, some of which have never played before,” Echko explained. “Teams include Belmont, Lipscomb, Ball State, Arkansas State, Eastern Kentucky, Middle Tennessee State and Northern Alabama.”

Dayton’s own tournament, consisting of Northern Kentucky, Xavier and Miami (Ohio), will be held on September 27 and 28 at the Graul Tennis Complex.

“We are excited to host a fall invitational tournament on our home courts with Xavier, Miami and Northern Kentucky,” Echko said.

UD will then send four players to the ITA Regionals at Middle Tennessee State from October 10-13 and conclude the tournament with the Atlantic 10 Fall Championship in Davidson from October 25-27.

“Our conference has also added a fall tournament in October, hosted by Davidson, that will feature one singles player and one doubles team from each school. The winners will then advance to the NCAA singles and doubles championships.”
