The Atlanta Falcons are preparing for their game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the team is making sure that all fans are well looked after on their way to the stadium.

On Sunday, the Falcons will honor owner and chairman Arthur Blank by inducting him into the team’s Ring of Honor. Guest of honor Samuel L. Jackson will preside over the ceremony.

To celebrate Blank’s inauguration, all fans attending the game will receive free hot dogs and chips, as well as a special souvenir cup that can be filled for free at any freestanding Coca-Cola vending machine.

The team expects to give away 100,000 hot dogs and bags of chips on Sunday – about 15,000 more than the total sales during the 2023 season.

Since the opening of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Falcons have offered some of the cheapest food prices in the NFL, with hot dogs and unlimited drinks for two dollars.

In addition to the free food, fans can also expect a concert by rapper TI from Atlanta starting at 8 p.m.

Blank is one of two people being inducted into the Ring of Honor this year. Former quarterback Matt Ryan will be inducted into the Honor Roll on Oct. 3.

Who is Arthur Blank?

Blank, co-founder of The Home Depot and philanthropist, bought the Falcons in 2002. Since then, he has expanded his family’s sports empire to include Atlanta United, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the PGA TOUR Superstore.

Now 81, he has seen the team in eight playoffs, including two NFC championship games and a Super Bowl appearance.

“Since Arthur purchased the team in 2002, results on and off the field have improved,” said Falcons team president Greg Beadles, “and his unwavering commitment to the fans and the city of Atlanta is worthy of this recognition and much more.”

Blank has won many national awards – most recently the Sports Business Journal’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
