It was fun to watch Matt Ryan make the transition from quarterback to analyst and I think he did a great job. He will use those skills tonight at Monday Night Football when the Falcons face the Eagles, as a guest on ESPN2’s Manningcast, moderated by Peyton and Eli Manning.

If you have not seen Manningcast but you want an alternative to the usual match reports or you really don’t want to listen to Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, Manningcast is a great alternative. I was initially concerned that it would be too distracting and make it too difficult to follow the game, but I was wrong – Peyton and Eli are always focused on the game and their commentary is very insightful.

It’s also very funny. Eli forgot he was on camera when the show first aired and flipped her the double bird. The two brothers bicker and joke about each other, and they usually have really interesting guests – including tonight Matt Ryan. Also joining us tonight are former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and actor Miles Teller from Top Gun: Maverick. Teller is from Pennsylvania and is presumably an Eagles fan.

I understand if Falcons fans aren’t terribly excited about these guests, especially the man behind the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history involving the Patriots and another team from the NFC. I really can’t remember, but I think it was pretty embarrassing for the team, no matter which one it was.

But I promise it’s worth tuning in to see Matt Ryan, who is listed as guest No. 3 for the evening. The Manningcast will air on ESPN 2 and broadcast begins Monday at 8:13 p.m. ET.
