The Atlanta Falcons came painfully close to beating the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, but running back Bijan Robinson was unable to convert a fourth-down tackle in the red zone. The Falcons lost the ball on one down and suffered a 22-17 loss in front of their home crowd.

Few outside of Atlanta believed the Falcons really had a chance on Sunday, but they more than held their own against the Chiefs in prime time. The team went just 1 of 3 on fourth down but failed twice when they had a chance to take the lead in the fourth quarter. Atlanta and Kansas City each had a turnover, but the Falcons couldn’t get into the end zone when it mattered.

Fans on Twitter were devastated after Sunday’s 22-17 loss to the Chiefs. Some criticized the plays, others blamed the referees, and a few were encouraged by the Falcons’ fighting spirit against the defending Super Bowl champions.
